At the end of the day, photography is about 4 things subject, light, composition and timing. The skill is mixing those elements into something that is unique, refreshing and emotional. A beautiful photograph is just that and my time spent in the landscape has made me learn to anticipate the moment, to be sensitive with my vision and be individual in my results. Weddings are an incredibly special day and you need a photographer who will get it right, without any fuss and above all has a smile all through the day!
We are a team!
My best work comes from the relationship I form with you - the bride and groom. I don’t do rushed jobs or last minute bookings. I work on a first come first served basis. I take the time to meet you before a camera even appears: I want to fully understand what it is that you want from your pictures and if you are a little stuck then I have the experience to help you find your vision. I am married myself so I know what you will be going through as you tick off that never ending list - I can help there as well and suggest things that may not have occurred to you.
How I work:
I am at home with blending into the day, after all it’s about you and your guests and not the photographer. But that doesn’t mean that I’m not averse to focusing people into groups if your wishes require it. I work on my own so you have just one point of contact and if you need me to be there from one hour to all day then that’s up to you as well. I only work with the best equipment and I always have back-ups…it always pays to ask the photographer you choose if they do the same. To get a flavour of an entire day and how I shoot, why not take a look at my example galleries here and here or take a look at the slideshow above
What I charge:
You will not find endless complicated lists of what I charge, what I do and what I don’t. I prefer an a la carte approach, starting at a very comprehensive package for £1000 we will work together to find out exactly what you would like and I’ll quote you a price, all in, with nothing else to pay. If you want me to travel, then I am happy to do so. I don’t subscribe to the view that you, the customer, should be charged one thing up front and then find out that there is more to pay later on down the line. If you think what I ask is a good investment for capturing your special day, then we’ll meet and have a chat; try and get to know each other better. It’s not easy to get used to having a lens in your face if you don’t trust the person behind it. If we get on then I have contract that both of us will sign just to formalise our relationship - I think it’s always helpful to know exactly where we all stand.
If you like what you see then just get in touch - after all there is no harm in asking and you never know I may just be what you are after.
Good Luck
Guy
