It’s not all a box of chocolates
North Devon is to me far more than just a holiday destination. Images of sandy beaches and ice cream on sunny summer days are not what my photographic eyes see. Rugged coastlines in winter. Soft light on rocky shores. Autumn woodland bright with colour. It is such an overwhelmingly beautiful location.
At the end of a perilously steep and winding lane, the bay opens up before you. Low tide reveals a striking rocky landscape. The soft colours and worn textures are a photographers delight. Making sense of it all is rather more complicated!
