The Outer Hebrides, the far north-west and Perthshire
Loch Maree is where it started. It was one of the first images I ever took with any real seriousness: frozen grass crunching underfoot, and the first sun lighting mist that lay in threads through the glen. That morning is still with me every time I head out.
Further north, the River Oykel is where I went salmon fishing once a year with friends. My light radar stayed on the whole time, and my hosts got used to me disappearing when a photograph just had to be taken. On Lewis I spent a June morning on the beach at Gearrannan, photographing three-billion-year-old gneiss next to a rotting seal with my T-shirt over my mouth. Red and White has been one of my more popular prints ever since.
These are the prints from those trips.
Every print is made by me on 305gsm archival matte paper, signed, and sent with a certificate of authenticity and my lifetime guarantee. Click any image to choose a size.
